Classes start in May 2026!

Art Expression Class

Does your child love coloring, painting or sketching?  Are they on the quieter side, but you know they are struggling with many emotions and thoughts?

The Light House created the Art Expression class to be the solution to their regulation.  Kids in foster care struggle with so many stresses and no way to let them out safely.  They bottle them up which triggers them when new stresses are added.

By using art therapy techniques, they will be able to release some of these feelings in a safe environment without having to disclose any incidents or memories that caused them.  They will learn a better way to express the feelings and learn a valueable tool to use when things get tough.

All classes are made for children in foster care, kinship care, been adopted, and those reunified with parents.  All supplies for this class will be provided and it is free of charge.

Boxing/Kids Movement Class

Are your kids really active and enjoy sports?

Do you struggle with them learning because they can’t focus?

Do they say they feel powerless because of what may have happened to them or struggle with self esteem?

Boxing/Kids Movement class is perfect for these types of children.  This is a class that will teach them to use their actions to release the stress that they struggle with.  All our teachers are trauma informed and also educate the children on how and when to use what they are being taught.

Many kids after a workout feel happier and able to concentrate more.  If you believe your child has these struggles and behaviors, sign them up for this class!

All our classes are open for children that have been affected by foster care.  This includes, foster, kinship, adopted, and reunified children.
