Volunteer Descriptions

First Day Program Volunteers description below.

Classes Volunteer:  Are you interested in helping children learn to regulate with fun activities with Art or Boxing?  The Light House needs volunteers to work with the children in foster care to learn better coping techniques and better their mental health.  Volunteers are passionate about helping these children go from struggling with stress and bottled up emotions to be able to express the large emotional burden that comes with being in foster care and experiencing trauma.  If you are interested or would like to know more, please email us at info@thelighthousedenver.org or click below and fill out the form.

Event Volunteer:  The Light House has many events that happen throughout the year that are done in our community.  There are Awareness events that are done with foster families to give back like our Easter Egg Chase or Holiday Store that are just fun for the families that are in foster care.  Volunteers for Awareness Events help with planning, decor, games and fun activites for the families, and help families sign up for our programs. Fundraising events are also done throughout the year to help us provide support for our programs.  Fundraising volunteers will help with various tasks like set up/take down, contests and games, and check in.

New positions are always forming. Check back soon for new volunteer opportunities!
