Our Mission
The Light House Denver is dedicated to transforming the lives of foster children by addressing the trauma they face and providing them with the support they need to thrive. Through generous donations, we offer mentorship programs and life skills workshops for teens aged 16 to 21, emotional regulation classes for children experiencing foster care, and support for parents and guardians. The Light House also aims to help children on their first day of foster care, navigating the trauma of that first day struggle. Help us Be the Light in Foster Care by supporting our programming. We cannot do this without you!
Over a thousand children are in foster care in Arapahoe and Denver County in Colorado every year.
Mentorship Increases Success by 55%
Our life skills workshops can help up to 25 teens aging out of the system or emanicpated every month.
Each one of our emotional regulation classes has the ability to help 10 families per class every other week.
